Outstanding Mid Century wall sculpture that also doubles as a clock. This wall clock produced by Manley in the 60s is quite unique with dark wood (maybe rosewood) rays coming out of a resin (dark marbled effect) round face. The clock is therefore very heavy. A beautiful and rare example of the Eames era sunburst clocks. It has very unusual brass pieces on dial instead of numerals. The condition is excellent showing little signs of wear. To mention only a minor split on one of the wooden pieces which appears to be caused by the nature of the wood (please see last photo). This it is not visible if the split is placed facing back. The old movement was replaced by a modern quality quartz movement, keeping excellent time. This wall clock has a stunning eye-catching presence and will certainly fill any room with lots of style. Please note the clock will be dismantled for safety and cheaper postage. Battery not included.
