Stunning teak bureau designed by Robert Heritage for Beaver and Tapley in the 60s. A unique piece in excellent vintage condition and recently revived. The storage comprises of a nice handy and lockable drop-down large door that double as a worktop (original key and light installation present although electrics not tested as wire is cut). The bureau has pigeonholes style shelving for small objects/paperwork. At the bottom part of the unit there are two small cabinets with sliding doors and signature handles and on the top right side, a handy glazed bookcase. The unit was customised with stylish Hairpin style legs, giving it an unusual industrial Era look.
The unit is very solid and all joints strong and sturdy, typical Robert Heritage quality. Some minor age related wear that definitely does not distract from the beauty of the piece (as per photos). Pieces designed by Robert Heritage are highly sought after these days as they represent high quality and a form of investment.
Very compact, this little office is a special piece of furniture and will be a great addition to any mid century inspired small apartment.
