A gorgeous set of four dining chairs Model #49 designed by Eric Buch for Oddense Maskinsnedkeri A/S, Denmark. These chairs, originally designed in 1957, were crafted in solid teak with floating seats that definitely set these chairs apart. Incredibly comfort provided by a deep curve in the padded backrest. Their modern look fit well with many table designs and types of modern decor so they would be a great fit in any contemporary environment. The chairs seats & backs are upholstered in the original black faux leather and one of the chairs still retain the Makers Mark/ Danish Control sticker.
The condition is overall excellent. All chairs are sturdy and in superb condition free from damage on the upholstery and frames. There are minor use marks, as expected from age but nothing that takes away from the beauty or value of these chairs. Please note, although they came from the same household, one chair seams slightly lighter in tone and also the joints are different from the remaining ones but this is only noticeable at very close inspection.
These chairs are quickly becoming a classic because of their simple form, comfortable seating experience and strong well built frames. They will certainly be a wonderful addition to any modern dining room. A truly Danish classic!
