A beautiful teak veneer and solid teak G Plan (Fresco range) round extending dining table finished in teak veneer with solid teak edging and tapered legs with 4 matching rount seats chairs with original brown fabric upholstery, all in excellent condition for age. Extremely well made and with such a great design! This set has a stunning presence, very sculptural in form. It was designed in 1967 by Victor Bramwell Wilkins for E Gomme Ltd (not Ib Kofod as many claim) and became very popular throughout the 70s. Great teak tone and grain. This table is also in excellent cosmetic condition apart from some minor marks on the main top (as per photos). The table seats 4 people when closed and can be extended to seat comfortably 6 people (maybe 8 at a push). The middle leaf is cleverly stored under the top and folds out with a butterfly movement. The veneer tone on the extension matches almost perfectly the mail top which is very rare. G Plan furniture was made to last and this table is here to last definitely another 50 years. Both table and 4 chairs are in excellent condition, free from any damage or repairs on the frames and the original black vinyl upholstery is also in excellent condition free from damage. The foam on the seats and backrests is still very firm and comfortable (unlike many where the foam has shrunk and lost the shape). Ready be enjoyed! It will certainly be a great addition to any modern dining area or kitchen.
